“The World Wide Web can often be a hostile and unpleasant place, but Global Scribes discourages traditionally divisive subjects and fosters unity between persons from around the world. As a creative person, I appreciate the space Global Scribes provides for me and others to share material relating to subjects of interest such as music, movies, art and more. In my experience, there is nothing quite like what Cynthia English has created and I believe her vision can be instrumental to building bridges rather than walls.”
–Spencer Jones, Global Scribes (New York City, USA)
“Global Scribes is a fantastic group…it is a global youth driven initiative with the ultimate goal for world peace. It is wonderful to watch what they are doing and has set my own daughter on a great path of inner and intellectual growth.”

“I have been a part of Global Scribes for a few months now and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. I have met so many amazing people from all across the world, and that is why I believe Global Scribes is crucial to today’s world as it connects youth, shaping the future and aiding the present, to make a better world by bringing people together through experience and learning about other cultures. Cynthia’s vision has inspired me to reach out to more people and has inspired me to strive for peace through creation and learning. From Global Scribes I have learned the true value of communication and learning from others and the extreme significance of unity.”

“Whilst on University exchange in Beijing I spotted the words “Global Scribes” on the laptop of fellow exchange student and new friend Jason - the team leader for Global Scribes International music, or GS:IM. Being a writer (of sorts), and a nosey one at that, I started asking all about the project. After hearing how GS was trying to foster global unity by connecting youth – and through the written word at that - my next question was how to be involved. Having some experience on University radio, I ended up joining Jason’s GS:IM team. It wasn't long before I realised the magnitude of Global Scribes’ potential. My previous project had been creating a weekly 2 hour entertainment show with an audience of the student population of a small Welsh town, Global Scribes has a passion and purpose it wants to share worldwide. Even our team, stretching from US to Korea, encompasses that very belief and sentiment of unity that stretches across our borders. Much is owed to Cynthia in her ability to inspire a team to not only believe in what the project can achieve but believe in the Global Scribes mission, without that we would have very little here. Without Cynthia, we'd have nothing. As a team we’re learning from our early experiences and quickly refining in every aspect of our effort, striving to make this project the very best it can be. In only a few months much has been continually developed and furthered in Global Scribes. What hasn't changed however is the motivation to realise our project’s potential, with new milestones to achieve constantly on our horizon.”
–Nick Saunders, Global Scribes (Wales)
“As a student of media and communications, I was taken right away when I first heard about Global Scribes. To me it is an important part of the progress of modern society to overcome borders of all kinds of regards. Through the growth of the Internet and up-scaled global connectedness we are given the opportunity to learn and exchange with all parts of the world. I find that knowledge and understanding play immensely important roles in creating a better future for all of us. Global Scribes focuses on exactly this, overcoming boundaries. As part of the Global Scribes: International Music (GS:IM) team, I am constantly in touch with people from all around the world, learning together and from one another. Be it by reading stories from Scribes in America, watching videos from Scribes in Asia or listening to interviews conducted in Serbia, Global Scribes has given me many insights into all kinds of things. As a member of the GS:IM team, I have learned a bunch of different things, about teamwork, managing an international team from all around the world, and also about myself. Setting deadlines, making decisions, cooperating with team members from different continents, teaching myself how to overcome problems and learning how to exceed others’ and my own expectations are other things that the work for Global Scribes has given me. I’ve been involved for almost half a year and I am enjoying every bit of it! I guess you could say ‘Go! -bal Scribes.’”
–Jason Teetz, Global Scribes (The Netherlands)
“I never imagined myself interviewing with an amazing Moroccan chef who is living in Seoul, South Korea. I've never knew my perspective could be changed like this. “Our son, Cole, age 10, has been a part of Global Scribes (GS) since it launched in the summer of 2014. He attended the Concept Camp for two 3 day sessions with a group of other young people in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA, as they helped to prove the concept of Global Scribes was on target and helped create missions, with founder, Cynthia English, for the Global Scribes–for kids, by kids game. Cole is currently part of the GS: International Music & Broadcast radio team. It is so amazing to sit in the other room when he is Skyping on the weekend with others from the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Kenya, South Korea, Cambodia and the US, and listen to them collaborating from around the world. What an experience for a 10 year old! Thank you for sharing Global Scribes with our family.”

“I’ve never seen social media used in such a productive, collaborative way—this really is a new way of thinking about the benefits of social media. These youth are learning that social media, that connecting with others, can be productive. It’s a privilege to work with a company that I know will soon change the world. I legitimately believe that Global Scribes is going to make the world a safer place.”
–Sophia Huneycutt, Intern (North Carolina, USA)

"We live in a world where we are connected by technology but we are still ignorant about the diversity of the world and cultures of one another. With an initiative like Global Scribes using technology to unite global youth, we may be able to cure the ignorance and hopefully Global Scribes will serve as the bridge between technology and global youth to unite humanity and promote harmony.”

"Global Scribes has offered the students at Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy an exciting outlet for their writing. Each month the girls anxiously log in to learn the spark word that will allow them to respond creatively to their newfound writing partners and friends. The spark word jogs old memories that give the girls joy, or it creates new associations that allow them to express a new perspective. Writing with Global Scribes has opened the doors to the world around our students, and it has offered them insight into the styles, voices, and ideas of the other students who are participating. What a gift!”
–Katherine Warwick, Teacher (Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy, Tennessee)
"Global Scribes unites children around the world with no consideration other than their uniqueness as individuals. They come together by sharing. . . their stories, their lives. They are encouraged to be young people, to grow intellectually, emotionally, and personally. . . and to have fun. Their diversity of backgrounds enhances their integration, encourages their linkage and provides the understanding that we are all one in a universe of diversity and as Global Scribes says. . . youth uniting nations.”
